Love in the time of COVID
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our wedding will be November 21st, 2020.
We will be providing multiple measures to keep you safe while we are celebrating, including disinfectant and face masks. Our venue is both outdoor and indoor, with slide away exterior walls for ventilation into the space. Everything below is subject to change depending on how COVID develops.
please carefully read the mask and distancing rules below.
DO I NEED A MASK?
Yes. You are required to wear your mask at all times when indoors and not sitting at your assigned table. You must put your mask back on when you get up for any reason, such as getting another drink, speaking with individuals at or sitting at a non-assigned table, or using the bathroom. We are placing people at tables based on social groups we know they already interact with in an attempt to minimize risk.
In addition, guests must wear masks when dancing, even when outdoors. Sweating and breathing all over each other is not a good idea. Use good judgement - this is mainly targeted at people who perceive COVID as nonthreatening. Please do not turn our wedding into a bad memory because one of our at-risk loved ones got infected.
How will distancing be enforced?
We will be enforcing distancing via a color-coded wristband system. Green means that you’re okay with normal interaction, no mask needed. Yellow means you’re fine with normal interaction as long as you are wearing a mask. A red wristband means that individual wants six feet of distance at all times and will only interact with people wearing masks. We highly recommend that at-risk guests select a red wristband.
In general, we ask that you use common sense and behave respectfully towards our other guests.
Can you livestream your ceremony?
At this time we are not planning to broadcast any portion of the event.
How large is this event going to be?
We are inviting 80 guests and would love nothing more than all of your presence.
Will we be 6 feet apart?
Due to the size of the venue, we will not be able to maintain this distance and have a seated dinner service. Our ceremony will allow guests to social distance.
IS HOUSTON SAFE?
Make decisions up to your comfort level and the information available from validated resources. Stay home, stay safe. Quarantining prior to large events is incredibly helpful.
